(Terry) Ruby - Bart

i'll be surprised if you know this track but you never know....

this takes me back to the winters of '77 '78 and '79 when i used to forget to go to school at the first sight of a snow flake...many a happy day was spent with my dog cindy running and falling in the biggest snowdrifts we could find. cindy eating snow in that funny way that dogs do when they dont understand why such a bountiful and solid thing just melts in their mouth...

getting wet and freezing cold then rushing home to watch the kids programmes on bbc2 which is were i heard this track. i had no idea who did it or what it was called until last year when i happened across it on cream.tv and i can tell you i was overjoyed. the quality is definitely dodgy - in front of the telly with a 1972 cassette recorder but at least its audible.

i thought it was brilliant back in the 70's - great guitar work, a great tune that had variety and really uplifting. they played the bugger every day between just about every programme for years, that was reason enough to bunk of school for me i can tell you... i can still see cindy bouncing in the snow drifts whenever i hear it.........
